WHAT SHE DOES:
A lot of kids set up lemonade stands in front of their home. Jamaria took that idea a step further. She runs LemonTopia, a traveling lemonade stand and dessert bar. Growing up, she enjoyed making lemonade with her grandparents. She also loved helping her mom bake. In 2016, Jamaria combined the two at a school bake sale. She sold lemonade and lemon-flavored pies and cookies. LemonTopia was born.
Since then, Jamaria has sold her lemon treats at festivals, markets, and cafés in Baltimore.
“The best part about LemonTopia is that I get to meet so many different people,” Jamaria says.
HOW SHE DOES IT:
Jamaria plans her own menus, creates new recipes, and makes all the goodies herself. Her items include apple cider lemonade and blueberry-lemonade cinnamon rolls. She also helps her mom manage LemonTopia’s social media posts and answer customers’ emails.
Jamaria hopes to expand LemonTopia beyond the Baltimore area one day.
