The robot is small enough to fit on the edge of a penny!
This might look like a tiny crab. But it’s the world’s smallest remote-controlled walking robot! The robot is small enough to walk along the edge of a penny. Scientists from Northwestern University have big plans for their mini-invention. John A. Rogers helped create it. He says his team’s goal is for the robot to one day help doctors get into veins and parts of the body that humans can’t easily reach.
“We’d also like to build in radios that allow the robots to speak with one another in a team-like fashion,” says Rogers.
