Spotless!

Giraffes are covered from head to hoof in spots. The markings help the animals hide from predators. But this rare giraffe surprised workers at the Brights Zoo in Limestone, Tennessee, on July 31. She was born without any spots!

The giraffe was named Kipekee, which means “unique” in the Swahili language. But Kipekee isn’t alone. In September, another solid-brown giraffe was spotted roaming the wild in Namibia, a country in Africa. Experts believe these are the only two all-brown giraffes in the world.
