Connor Wright has given away more than 5,000 kindness kits to kids in hospitals and shelters.

Connor Wright is on a mission to spread kindness. In 2021, when he was 12, he saw how lonely many kids were during the Covid pandemic. So he and his grandmother started making care packages for kids in and around his hometown of Lynnfield, Massachusetts. It wasn’t long before they wanted to do even more—and Connor’s Kindness Project was born.

“Kindness spreads like a ripple effect,” says Connor.

In January 2023, Connor and his grandmother launched the Kids Kindness Club. Students at elementary schools take a pledge to do 20 thoughtful things. The acts can be anything from making someone laugh to donating a used book.

So far nearly 40 schools have joined the club, and more than 15,000 kids have taken the pledge. That has led to more than 300,000 acts of kindness! Connor wants kids to know that even small efforts can change someone’s day.

“Holding a door for someone may seem like it doesn’t make a difference, but it goes a long way,” Connor says.
