Say "Trees!"
People across the country enjoy watching the fall leaves turn colors. But this forest in Polk County, Oregon, takes the activity to a whole new level! Every autumn, drivers on a road called Oregon 18 can see this giant face smiling at them.
Workers from the Hampton Lumber company planted the happy trees in 2011. In the fall, the needles on the larch trees turn yellow, creating the smiley face. Douglas firs, which remain green all year, form the eyes and mouth.
