ICYMI, Merriam-Webster added 370 new words and phrases to its dictionary in September. The abbreviation ICYMI (which stands for “in case you missed it”) is one of the new entries. The adjective cringe (embarrassing) and the noun lewk (a fashionable look) also made the cut. The update also includes sus, which means “suspicious”. That term will sound familiar to fans of the video game Among Us

Merriam-Webster’s dictionary has been around since 1847 and is updated often. When many people use a word in the same way over a long period of time, Merriam-Webster adds it to the dictionary. There are currently more than 200,000 words in the dictionary. There’s nothing sus about that!
